The 5th Annual Winter K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch Championship will be co-hosted by Ohio Disc Dogs and The Southern Ohio Flying K9's on Saturday, January 27, 2017.

As in 2017, this one-day competition will include two rounds of UFO, USDDN and AWI with all three events sanctioned World Qualifiers.

Handler & Dog(s) teams will compete in the following three K9 Frisbee Toss & Fetch event formats. Champions will be crowned for each event as well as for the Overall Winter Champion based on cumulative scoring.

-- Phase 1: Past Attendee Registration is open on Saturday, Dec. 2 (NOW) for anyone who has played in any of the first 4 Winter Championships.

-- Phase 2: Open Registration will begin on Monday Dec. 11.

Registration ends Friday, January 19 or when the 50-team limit is reached.

We've again rented The Lodge at Virginia Kendal National Park where will have two fireplaces, hot beverages all day, breakfast food and a warm lunch catered by Moe's Restaurant of Cuyahoga Falls.

Dogs aren't allowed in the Lodge, but parking is very close so you can keep your pups nearby in your vehicles. There's also a covered Shelter attached to the lodge with plenty of room for crates.

Due to the short daylight hours and the Lodge's occupancy restrictions, there will be a 50-team limit.

To accommodate as many players as possible, handlers are limited to two dogs each.

From a cost standpoint, our goal is to break even. To that end, here's the cost breakdown:

Handler/Competitor 1 Dog Package: $90 includes:

-- Event entry for 1 dog in all 3 events, with $10 earmarked for the UFO Cash & Catch pot and $10 for the Overall Cash Pot

-- Lodge access, breakfast & lunch.

Handler/Competitor 2 Dog Package: $140 includes:

-- Event entry for 2 dogs in all 3 events, with $20 earmarked for the UFO Cash & Catch pot and $20 for the Overall Cash Pot

-- Lodge access, breakfast & lunch.

Guest Ticket: $35 includes:

-- Includes lodge access, coffee & hot chocolate, breakfast & lunch.

++ Money can't be exchanged at the National Park so you must register and pay in advance. ++

Due to the growing interest in the Winter Event, combined with the 50 Team Limit, registration will be as follows:

-- Phase 1: Past Attendee Registration is open on Saturday, Dec. 2 (NOW) for anyone who has played in any of the first 4 Winter Championships.

-- Phase 2: Open Registration will begin on Monday Dec. 11.

Registration ends Friday, January 19 or when the 50-team limit is reached.
